RESERVOIR KEEPS VIKINGS SEARCHING

Danny Summers scored a game-high 21 points, and senior center Bill Reybold contributed 16, leading Reservoir to a 62-54 victory over Mount Hebron in a Howard County boys’ basketball match in Fulton Wednesday. The Gators (3-11, 3-7) built a 16-point halftime advantage to snap a five-game losing streak and keep the Vikings winless. 

Andrew Chatham led Mount Hebron (0-14, 0-10) with 17 points, and sophomore Mike McCarthy added 13. Mount Hebron will host last season’s Class 3A state champ and league rival River Hill Friday evening while Reservoir travels to Long Reach.

Mount Hebron: Chatham 17, McCarthy 13, Zacharias 6, Medoff 3, Weber 7, Schmauder 5, Ireland 2, Fetzer 2. Totals 17 18-21 54.
Reservoir: Reybold 16, Matthew 2, Brooks 2, Summers 21, Witmer 6, Godbout 6, Johnson 4, Engelkemier 5. Totals 21 11-16 62. Halftime: Reservoir 35, Mount Hebron 19.
